A former child prodigy and national champion on the fiddle, guitar, and mandolin, Mark has won numerous GRAMMYs and CMA Awards. He has collaborated with the likes of Johnny Cash, Wynton Marsalis, Dolly Parton, and Yo-Yo Ma, and performed everything from original violin concertos to swing and jazz.
Mark’s dazzling skill as musician and composer, and his love for Appalachian music, shine forth in this unique holiday spectacular. The performance features elegant interpretations of Christmas classics found on the celebrated album of the same name. The touring ensemble performs hits from the album, delivering stunning vocal harmonies and sophisticated instrumentals within classic Christmas music. In addition to Mark, the band features his son Forrest, daughter-in-law Kate, and wife Maggie. They infuse Americana in all that they play, and bring a warm blend of country, folk and classical to Christmas songs including Winter Wonderland, O Christmas Tree, Carol of the Bells, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
