ACA Level 4 Whitewater Kayak Instructor Class

Want to become a whitewater kayak instructor? We are pleased to announce that we are offering two ACA Level 4 Whitewater Kayak Instructor Courses this summer! And we are especially excited to have one of the nation’s most highly regarded Instructor Trainer Educators and current Chair of the ACA Board of Directors, Robin Pope, as our lead instructor!
Classes are 5 days (plus 1 eve) in length and divided into two weekends. The first weekend – the Instructor Development Workshop (IDW) – will focus on teaching principles, flatwater skills, and an introduction to whitewater skills. The second weekend – the Instructor Certification Exam (ICE) – will put greater focus on whitewater paddling and rescue skills, and on evaluating candidate teaching skills. Our first class is Jun 28-30 (IDW) & Jul 19-21 (ICE) – participants must attend both weekends. Cost is $525. We expect this class to fill up so if interested book soon!
