Bridge Building Workday

On 18 July, 2019, SAWC, TEHCC, and ALDHA volunteers will be building a new foot bridge in order to help preserve the Appalachian Trail, and to make the trail safer for all hikers. This new foot bridge will further demonstrate ALDHA’s commitment to the preservation of Appalachian Trail and the protection of the long distance hiking experience. The day will begin at the famous Bob’s Dairyland in Roan Mountain for a nice breakfast at 8:00am, and work will commence at 9:00am. Out of town guests are welcome to spend the night at the Work Center Bunk House, or the Kincora Hiker Hostel in Hampton, TN.
