June 29, 2018 (Bristol TN/VA) — Celebrate Bristol is proud to announce the upcoming schedule for Bristol’s annual Independence Day celebration. Each year Celebrate Bristol and Believe in Bristol partner with other local organizations for a slate of family friendly events to celebrate America’s Independence! This year’s July 4th Celebration is packed full of fun events and activities the whole family can enjoy.
WEDNESDAY, July 4 – STAR-SPANGLED 4TH OF JULY
12:00 pm Bristol Pirates vs. Johnson City Baseball Game
Veterans admitted free. Hot Dog and Pie Eating Contest and Free Watermelon. Sponsored by Kroger and Bristol Baseball, Inc.
4:00 pm Parade Line-up on Bob Morrison Blvd
5:00 pm Bristol’s Independence Day Parade – State Street
6:00 pm Events in Cumberland Square Park

With their enchanting debut album, Dreamsongs, Etc., Bill and the Belles have captured the freewheeling, lighthearted approach to music that has endeared them to listeners of every generation. With a spirited sound that falls somewhere between old-time country and vaudeville, the group puts its own spin on a golden era of music, specifically the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s.

The 90s cover band hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee features Jonny Sexton on guitar/vocals, Caleb Boaz on guitar/vocals, Evan Stone on keys, Robert Richards on bass, and Kris “Tugboat” Killingsworth on drums as well as vocalists Mandi Lawson, April Hill and Yasameen Hoffman-Shahin from Electric Darling.
