Brook Trout Release @ Little Stony Creek

The chapter has been invited to help TWRA, the Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute, and USFS release ~400 brook trout in Little Stony Creek this Thursday, May 23rd. Little Stony is a tributary on the south side of Watauga Lake. Participants will meet at the pull-off on Highway 67 W just before Little Stony Creek Rd (36.311883 N, -82.072611 W) around 8:30 am.
This project was funded, in part, by a license plate grant awarded to the Appalachian Chapter Trout Unlimited. The fish being reintroduced are from parents taken out of Left Prong Hampton Creek, a site of numerous projects sponsored by OMTU.
