DESCRIPTION:Bays Mountain Park\, in partnership with the Friends of Bays\, is pleased to announce the return of an engaging and exciting storytelling event for the fall – Campfire Tales.\n\nCampfire Tales is a free event featuring the talents of Dr. Hannah Harvey\, a renowned national storyteller and an award-winning performer and director.\n\nCampfire Tales will take place at the park’s outdoor amphitheater on September 25th and 26th. S’mores will be available from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and storytelling will begin at 7 p.m.\nPark admission and tickets to the sessions are free both evenings thanks to a sponsorship by Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union.\n\nCombining the research of Bays Mountain historians with Harvey’s energetic storytelling style\, Campfire Tales is sure to be an unforgettable evening of local lore\, humor\, and heart. A native of our area\, Harvey is excited to bring stories of our own Bays Mountain and Appalachia to life in tales you will remember every time you drive up the mountain.\n\n“We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Hannah Harvey back to Bays Mountain Park\,” said Brenda Fox\, Chair of the Friends of Bays Events Committee. “Come prepared to be entranced by Dr. Harvey\, who weaves stories around the history of Bays Mountain. Some may be a little spooky\, some may be funny\, but all will be entertaining\,”\n\nThe sessions are recommended for families\, teens and adults with Friday’s program geared more towards kids\, while Saturday’s is designed for older teens and adults.\n\nSeating is limited and is available on a first-come\, first-served basis.
