Erwin Farmers Market

RISE Erwin is thrilled to announce the season opening of the Erwin Farmers Market on Friday, June 7th. This vibrant community event is set to offer fresh, locally-grown produce from local farmers as well as goods from local artisans, crafts, sweet treats, and a host of enriching programs aimed at promoting health and wellness. The market is open on Friday evenings from June 7th through August 30th from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Main Street in downtown Erwin.

In addition to a variety of vendors, the Erwin Farmers Market is proud to continue and grow several programs this season:

• Farmacy Fit: A unique initiative aimed at promoting physical fitness and healthy living through guided activities and wellness workshops held at the market. Be on the lookout for a trail through downtown. Once complete, participants are able to cash in their activity for money to use at the market.

• SNAP Double Up: This program allows SNAP beneficiaries to double their benefits when purchasing fresh produce, ensuring that everyone in the community has access to nutritious, locally-grown food.

• Nourish Kids Produce Bucks: Designed to educate and inspire young ones about the importance of healthy eating, this program provides children with produce bucks to spend at the market, encouraging them to make healthy food choices. This program is available July 5th – August 16th.

“I am absolutely thrilled to see the Erwin Farmers Market come alive this season,” said Market Manager, Meisha Turner, “this market is a celebration of our wonderful community, and it brings me so much joy to see neighbors come together to support our local farmers and artisans.” Currently, all vendor spaces are filled but vendors interested in joining the Erwin Farmers Market are encouraged to fill out this application to be added to the waitlist.

The Erwin Farmers Market coincides with The Nolichucky Opry, presented by the Kiwanis Club of Erwin, for most of the season. Live music at the Gathering Place begins at 8:00 pm each Friday night. The Farmers Market is more than just a place to buy fresh produce; it is a community gathering spot where neighbors can connect, learn, and support one another.
