Ignite your holiday spirit and join us for the Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce’s 21st annual Erwin Tree Lighting Ceremony! This cherished community tradition kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 6, promising an unforgettable evening of holiday magic.

Step into Santa’s Village, located in the Erwin Town Hall parking lot, where a winter wonderland awaits. Kids can enjoy a festive trackless train ride, roast marshmallows, and dive into holiday activities, while live music fills the air with cheer. Relish a cozy dinner from a local food truck, savor a sweet treat, and enjoy a classic Christmas movie screening inside City Hall. And don’t miss the chance to make reindeer food, Christmas ornaments and more.

The highlight of the night begins at 7:30 p.m., as the Tree Lighting Ceremony brings our community together with the beautiful sounds of a community choir. Watch as the Erwin Christmas Tree shines brightly, illuminating the night with holiday warmth and joy.

The celebration wraps up with a reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, followed by a special visit from Santa himself. Photos with Santa will be available, and the first 100 children in line for photos will receive a free gift from Santa to take home.
