Flint Knapping Workshop

Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park is offering a beginner’s level primitive skills workshop on Flint Knapping – Making Stone Tools on Saturday, June 19 from 10 am – 4 pm.
Taught by Flint Knapper’s, Bob Estep and Gary Baxter this class will focus on learning the basics of making stone tools, such as the arrow point, using only traditional techniques.
The cost of the class is $60.00 and includes a flint knapping kit and stone that is yours to keep, and instruction. Pre-registration and payment is required before Wednesday, June 16th by calling the park at 423-543-5808. Adults Only.
