Jonesborough: Food Trucks & Flicks

The Town of Jonesborough will host a 90’s Disney themed trivia night in which winners will receive four Disney World tickets. This trivia event is in conjunction with Food Trucks & Flicks on Saturday, August 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Persimmon Ridge Park on the ballfields beside Wetlands Water Park.

Food Trucks & Flicks consists of a food truck rally, 90’s Disney trivia, an outdoor movie, crafts and games.

Trivia with Budds begins at 7 p.m. The first place team will receive four tickets to Disney World. It is $40 per team, plus a processing fee, and there can be up to six participants per team. No matter the number of team participants, the prize will be four tickets only. These will be 1-day passes. The prize does not cover airfare or overnight accommodations. The trip must be booked before the end of the year, but can be booked for any future date. Team sign ups can be found at Jonesborough.com/foodandflicks.

Attendees can enjoy “Beauty & the Beast” projected on a screen beginning at 8:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. The movie is free to attend.

There will be a number of food trucks with varying options. Featured food trucks include:

• Beba’s Rolling Meatball
• Diggy Donuts
• Food Traffickers
• Forks in the Road Concessions
• Gypsy Road Eatery
• Rico’s Pizza
• Sunset Slush

Attendees can enjoy kids’ games, face painting, activities and music throughout the night, and are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Disney character.

Rogue Universe will have a Pirates of Caribbean themed booth. This will consist of a kids’ treasure map craft, a prop cannon, a pirate medallion forge craft and a treat called the seven seas drink.

The McKinney Center, Jonesborough’s art center, will have a Beauty & the Beast themed kids’ craft.
