Jonesborough Yarn Exchange Christmas Soupbowl Fundraiser

November 27, 2017 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$25
On November 27 at 6:00 PM, the Yarn Exchange, along with Jonesborough Novelty Band, as well as area artists, potters, and cooks, have come together to bring this exciting event. The evening begins with guests being invited to choose their very own hand-made bowl, created by a regional artist. Over 100 unique, one-of-a-kind bowls have been created just for this event.
Once guests have chosen their bowls, they get to fill it with their choice of soups or chilis. These soups were made locally by Main Street Café and Catering, Medley Vegan Vegetarian, as well as local home cooks.

As guests settle in with their soups, The Yarn Exchange Radio Show will debut a brand new Christmas radio play, The Christmas Messenger. It’s 1944. Andy, the telegraph man, recently home after an injury from the war, receives a series of Christmas Eve telegrams. There’s only one problem- no one wants to answer the door to the telegram deliverer during this time. House after house refuses his call, but what no one knows, is that one of the messages contains a miracle- which needs an urgent answer. Will he deliver it in time? Discover the mystery in the message, and sing along to holiday carols with the cast and the Jonesborough Novelty Band in this new, interactive Christmas performance.
