Matt Haimovitz, cellist – The Bach Suites: A Moveable Feast
Cellist Matt Haimovitz made his debut in 1984, at the age of 13, as soloist with Zubin Mehta and the Israel Philharmonic. He has since established himself as one of classical music’s most adventurous artists, equally at ease playing the masterworks for his instrument in solo, chamber, and concerto performances in leading concert halls and bringing classical music to new listeners in surprising new venues. On the evening of Nov. 2, he will perform Bach Suite II & Du Yun Overture; Suite IV & Roberta Sierra Overture; and Suite VI & Luna Pearl Woolf Overture.
