Mountain Games

Get ready for an afternoon filled with kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, disc golf and swimming, as Johnson City Parks and Recreation brings you a unique outdoor adventure at Legion Street Pool.
Partners Mahoney’s Outfitters, SORBA Tri-Cities, The Bike Shop, Local Motion and the Science Hill High School Mountain Bike Team will be on hand to provide kayaks, disc golf equipment, bikes, a climbing wall and instruction.
A looped mountain bike course with small obstacles will be constructed, and bikes will be available at the pool. A DJ will be playing some of your favorite tunes, and outdoor accessories will be displayed and expert information provided. Everyone is invited to stay and swim following the action. Door prizes will be available, including two tickets to Dollywood.
When: Aug. 18, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Where: Legion Street Pool, 111 Legion St.
Registration: None required.
Entry fee: $5 per person, lunch included.
