National Trails Day Hike

Join us on Saturday, June 1st to celebrate National Trails Day with a morning wellness hike on the Moonshiner’s Run Trail. This hike will take place from 10:00AM-Noon Eastern Time. This ranger-led hike will meet at the Park Cabins Overflow Parking Lot. The route and specs are as follows:
Trails to be Hiked: Moonshiner’s Run, Forest Road Trail, Turkey Trot
Total Distance: 1.65 Miles
Surface Type: Natural Dirt Surface
Difficulty and Reason: Moderate to Strenuous – Steep inclines on Forest Road Trail and rocky footing on parts of climbs.
ADA Accessible?: No
Hike Notes: The hike will loop back to the starting point offering riverside views, ridgeline views of the park mountains, and deep forest views. The hike will likely last 1.5 hours.
Hiker Requirements: Register for free on the provided link as the hike is limited to 20 individuals. Be sure to dress for the weather and wear close-toed hiking shoes/boots. Bring water and any other necessary items (snacks, medications, epi-pen for allergies, etc.).
