Seniors and Community: Connecting Through Storytelling

March 22, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$5

Our talented students will celebrate with a public Storytelling Concert on March 22, at 7:00pm, at the Price Public Community Center, 203 W Spring
St, Rogersville. The performance price is $5 per person, $15 for a family. With the teaching and coaching from our amazing workshop leader,
Marjorie Shaefer, of Jonesborough, the participants have recollected and crafted stories from their families, joyful childhood events, a favorite uncle
or grandfather, or grandchildren.
This performance will be videoed; and the stories will be published in book form. These will be produced and will be on sale as a package, during the
Appalachian Spring Festival in Downtown Historic Rogersville May 2-5. This experience for Seniors was made possible with a generous grant from
the Tennessee Arts Commission. We are also grateful to the Hawkins County Library system and the Rogersville Senior Citizens Center for
providing support in-kind.
The Tennessee Arts Commission is funded by revenue from specialty license plates. So when you go to purchase tags, remember that purchasing
any specialty tag – Tennessee Arts Commission, Friends of the Smoky Mountains, Masons, Fire Fighters, etc., helps bring wonderful arts programs
to our community.
