Storytelling Live!
The 18th season of ISC’s signature concert series is underway! Storytelling Live! is a six-month showcase of the nation’s top talent. Each week, we invite a different “teller in residence” to Jonesborough for five days of live storytelling performances. Designed to complement the National Storytelling Festival, Storytelling Live! features talented tellers who specialize in a variety of oral traditions, including songs and poetry, which rely on the spoken word. On top of daily performances in our downtown facility, many of our tellers stack their schedules with local appearances at schools and hospitals. Matinee shows are at 2 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, with other special events scheduled throughout the season. Walk-in seating is offered whenever tickets remain available, but reservations are strongly recommended.

Concerts
Storytelling Live! brings live storytelling concerts to Jonesborough every afternoon at 2 p.m. (Tuesday – Saturday) when Storytelling Live! is in season (May to October). Some performers also host evening concerts, Saturday morning children’s shows, and workshops.
Workshops
Each season, ISC hosts applied storytelling workshops on a variety of special topics as part of its Teller in Residence series. These workshops are designed to explore the art and science of storytelling and how it can be used across multiple disciplines like healthcare, education, and business.
