If you’re planning to spend time outside, whether here at Bays Mountain or anywhere else, we want you to feel safe and prepared the moment you head out. We’re bringing back our popular Survival Series this February to teach you all the tips and tricks you need to make it in the great outdoors.
This four-week Survival Series is designed for outdoors enthusiasts of all skill levels. Come learn with our Park staff in a comfortable environment, and don’t be afraid to ask questions–we’re here to help!
This February’s programs include:
"Hiking with a Dog" — February 2 — Learn about how care for your four-legged friend on our our 39 miles of trails.
"Emergency Shelters — February 9 — What do you do if you get stuck outside overnight unexpectedly?
"Trail Etiquette" — February 17 — Learn the right-of-way on trails, when to use trails, and more.
"Winter Survival" — February 23 — What you should wear and pack when trailing changes depending on the season. Come learn about wintertime!
All programs are held at 1 p.m. in the Nature Center’s Discovery Theater. You can purchase tickets the day of at our gift shop. Tickets cost $3 per person, or are free for Park Association members.
