The Bonnie Kate is excited to partner with the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development to be a venue for qualifying rounds leading up to the 3rd annual Tennessee Songwriters Week. Feb. 20-26, 2022
Bonnie Kate Theater along with other venues across the state of Tennessee, will sign up local talent to compete. Top songwriters from the official qualifying rounds will perform during one of the six Tennessee Songwriters Week showcases. Finalists from the showcases get the opportunity to share their original songs on the historic stage at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville.
Instructions for qualifying submissions
Songwriters are asked to complete full registration form below which includes submitting lyrics and YouTube video link to one song. The song
submission must be written and performed by the artist registered for the contest.
Songs will be evaluated and scored on a numerical scale considering both the song and the performance. Judges look at originality, vocal
and/or instrumental talent and the ability to create an emotional connection with the audience.
Twenty (20) finalists will be chosen to perform their song live for the judges during qualifying rounds at Bonnie Kate Theater on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. where one winner will be chosen. Finalists will be announced by January 30, 2022.
