Unicoi: Fiddlers and Fiddleheads Festival

April 27, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Free

Unicoi, Tenn. — The Unicoi Business Alliance in conjunction with the Town of Unicoi will host thousands of
guests Saturday, April 27, for the 24th Annual Fiddlers and Fiddleheads Festival held at Farmhouse Gallery
and Gardens.

The free, all-day event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will include performances by 15 bands on three
stages, jam sessions, an antique car show, handmade craft vendors, home-cooked food, and a blacksmiths’
hammer-in which is new to this year’s festivities.

Attendees can enjoy bluegrass, country and gospel music with performances by local talent including
Spivey Mountain Boys, Unicoi County High School Bluegrass Band, Zach McNabb and the Tennessee
Esquires, and many more.

Numerous demonstrators will be showcasing crafts such as flintknapping, dutch-oven cooking and
metal forging. Blacksmiths will be gathered around the workshop with several forges fired up, while the
flintknapping and dutch-oven cooking will take place in the Cherokee Village that features a traditional Native
American longhouse, wigwam, and tanned hides.

A favorite of visitors to the festival is the antique car show hosted by the East Tennessee Model A
Restorers Club which will provide a close-up view of classic cars in pristine condition. Just stroll down the rows

and absorb the beauty of vintage automobiles including T models, A models, and muscle cars. Afterward, take
a walk up the hill to see live buffalo roaming the valley.

Guests can also shop our craft and antique vendors that will line the path leading to the Cherokee
Village. Discover unique gifts such as knitted wool clothing, soaps, jewelry, hand-crafted Native American
goods, live plants, and homemade jams and jellies. Then make sure to visit the food vendors that will be
serving up tasty burgers, barbecue and more!

Farmhouse Gallery and Gardens, the festival venue, is located at 121 Covered Bridge Lane in Unicoi
and is surrounded by natural creeks, ponds and the endless beauty the town has to offer.
