Town of Unicoi To Host Free ‘Movies In The Park’ Series This Summer

Unicoi, Tenn. — The Town of Unicoi will be celebrating summer with its free “Movies in the Park”
summer film series kicking off this Friday, June 28, at 8:30 p.m.

The Buffalo Creek Park at the Bogart-Bowman Cabin in Unicoi will be the backdrop for this
family-friendly event that will feature a different child-appropriate movie each month and will conclude August 9
with a “Back-To-School Blow-Out.”

“Unicoi is all about community,” said Communications and Programs Director Ashley Shelton. “And
these free movie events give our residents a chance to gather, play and enjoy entertainment while surrounded
by our Beautiful Buffalo Valley.”

The festivities begin at 8:30 p.m. for the June 28 and July 19 events at Buffalo Creek Park (5012 Unicoi
Dr.), while the movies will start at dark. Concessions are available but guests are encouraged to bring blankets
and chairs as seating is not provided.

The “Back-To-School Blow-Out” will be held prior to the movie August 9 and will begin at 7 p.m. instead
of the regular event time. The movie will still start at dark but guests will want to arrive early to enjoy the water
activities, children’s games with prizes, and food vendors for family dinnertime!
