Weed Wrangle

On March 2, 2019 volunteers from across the nation will be helping remove invasive plants from public spaces. David Crockett was known as the “Gentleman From the Cane” due to the large amount of rivercane that grew along the Nolichucky River and surrounding areas. Unfortunately, non-native species have taken over the natural cane that still exists at the park. Join us for a Saturday of removing non-native plant species from the Crockett Homestead area. Dress appropriately, and bring tools if possible. Gloves and a light lunch will be provided.
