DESCRIPTION:Vote Now for Your Favorite Scarecrows \nPublic voting for Main Street Greeneville’s eleventh annual “Scarecrows of Main” competition is now\nopen. Vote for your favorite scarecrows\, in all categories\, via the following link\nhttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ScarecrowsBallot or by dropping off your votes to the Main Street office\nat 310 S Main Street. Use the Entry Number or display name to cast your vote. There are several\ncategories so pick your favorites. Voting remains open through Sunday\, October 25th. There are 8\ndifferent categories: Residential\, group/organization\, business or youth. Votes will be tabulated based on\nthe category selected on the entry form. Seventeen scarecrows are entered in this year’s contest which is\nsponsored by Broyles General Store located at 730 West Main St. The winner in each category will receive\na $25.00 Broyles General Store gift certificate\, a winner’s certificate and bragging rights. SUMMARY:#GreenevilleScarecrows Scavenger Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Finishing out the month of October with a new family friendly activity during this time of COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing is being announced by Main Street: Greeneville\, Inc. \nEach year people enjoy coming into downtown Greeneville to view the scarecrows on display. 2020 is no different. To add to the fun this year with Scarecrows on Main\, Main Street is also holding a selfie scavenger hunt contest\, just tag Main Street Greeneville in a picture of yourself with any one of the great scarecrows downtown and use the hashtag #GreenevilleScarecrows to enter. The more displays you visit and selfies you enter\, (one per display) the greater your chance to win a gift certificate provided by Broyles Feed Store the 2020 Scarecrows of Main sponsor in the  drawing on November 1. The winner will be announced on November 1. Get out to there and see this year’s great entries! Folks will locate each display by following a list of clues\, available for download\, from the Main Street: Greeneville website at www.mainstreetgreeneville.org take a selfie that safely includes the item referenced in the clue and just tag Main Street Greeneville use the hashtag\n#GreenevilleScarecrows Each person may enter only one selfie per display\, for a maximum of twenty photos. DESCRIPTION:The Jack-O-Lantern Drive-Thru is headed for Main Street and we want you to participate! First\, pick up a pumpkin at the  Jonesborough Visitors Center and Emporium on Monday\, October 26 from 2-6 p.m.\, carve the pumpkin\, and bring it back to the Visitors Center on Wednesday\, October 28 from 2-6 p.m.  \nThe town will light and display the Jack-O-Lanterns on Main Street on the evenings of October 29-31 from 6-9 p.m. You are encouraged to either drive-thru or take a stroll along Main Street to see them all lit up \nDowntown merchants will also be decorating their windows and storefronts and staying open late so you can grab a seasonal treat along the way. We will name several winners of the Jack-O-Lantern Drive-Thru and they will be posted on our \nMain Street Jonesborough social media pages\, so make sure to check those to see if you’ve won.
