Attendees will be greeted by event volunteers and a sensory-friendly support team. A quiet welcome space will be available to assist with transitions and adjustments. \nAt 5 p.m.\, the Sensory Easter Egg Hunt will take place. Participants can choose from different hunt zones based on their sensory preferences. A quiet zone will be available for those who prefer a low-stimulation area with minimal noise\, smaller groups\, and no loud surprises. A traditional egg hunt zone will provide a slower-paced experience with eggs spaced out for easy collection. Sensory-friendly eggs will contain small toys\, stickers\, and sensory-friendly treats instead of candy. \nThroughout the event\, attendees can engage in various sensory-friendly crafts and games\, including Easter-themed sensory art projects\, wooden Easter egg decorating with textured materials\, and bunny mask-making with soft supplies. A Bubble Zone will provide a relaxing experience\, while a bean bag bunny toss and a soft play area will offer movement and calm play opportunities. Allergy-friendly light refreshments will be available. A special photo opportunity with a friendly\, non-costumed Easter Bunny will also be featured. \nTo conclude the event\, a free screening on the movie Hop will be played at the Lincoln Park Amphitheater beginning at 7:30 p.m. This screening is sponsored by The Jackson Theatre.\nFamilies are encouraged to bring personal sensory supports if needed. DESCRIPTION:Tractor enthusiasts from across the South will make a trip to Northeast Tennessee for the 32nd Annual Appalachian Antique Farm Show April 24-27 at the Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray\, Tenn.\, hosted by the Tri-State Antique Power Association.\n\n\n\nIn an event that has grown to showcase hundreds of rare and popular tractors over the years\, including features from Brian Baxter with the RFDTV series Tractor Fever.  The agriculture inspired television network has featured the Appalachian Antique Farm Show and Northeast Tennessee for a number of years on the classic show dedicated to tractors\, enthusiasts and events across the United States.\n\n\n\nEach year the Appalachian Antique Farm Show is dedicated to a specific make\, model or style of tractor.  The 2025 Appalachian Antique Farm Show will feature numerous styles and models of vintage equipment. Along with the featured tractors\, exhibits of all makes and models will include antique tractors\, steam\, gas\, hit and miss antique engines\, stationary steam engines\, threshing machines\, gristmill\, antique farm tools\, live steam saw mill\, belted equipment demonstrations and other farm related equipment.\n\n\n\nEach year the show features a specific make\, model or style of tractor.\n\n\n\nThe full weekend of activities include a flea market complete with arts and crafts\, antiques\, farm and tractor memorabilia\, commercial vendors\, new and used farm equipment parts within the swap meet area\, a quilt show and tradition inspired farm games such as a Skillet Throws and a Barn Dance. Other popular events include the Parade of Power throughout the Appalachian Fairgrounds\, various equipment demonstrations and the kiddie pedal tractor race and pull.\n\n\n\nAll exhibits will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday\, Friday and Saturday\, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.  Admission is $5 and children ages 12 and under are free.\n\n\n\nThe 32nd Annual Appalachian Antique Farm Show is hosted by the Tri-State Antique Power Association and sponsored by Food City.\n\n\n\nVendors are stationed throughout the show including a swap meet\, quilt show\, tractor inspired decor\, apparel and more.\n\n\n\nThe Tri-State Antique Power Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving agricultural history through the restoration of antique farm equipment. And this year\, the\noldest garden fair in our region will celebrate its 39 th birthday on Saturday\, April 26\, from 10\na.m. until 5 p.m.\, and Sunday\, April 27\, from noon until 5 p.m.\, at the 1850s farmstead\,\nlocated at 4812 Orebank Road in Kingsport. Admission is $5 for adults and is free for\nchildren under the age of 12\, and as always\, all proceeds go towards the maintenance of\nour site\, building restoration\, and keeping our animals fed. \nBe they novice gardeners\, people with green thumbs\, or anyone in between\, the Spring Garden\nFair is eagerly anticipated every year because it features thousands of plants for sale\, from old\nfavorites to rare and hard-to-find varieties. Growers will offer perennials\, annuals\, trees and\nshrubs\, with an emphasis on herbs\, vegetables\, natives and heirloom plants. And what makes it\ntruly unique is that gardening experts will be available throughout the weekend to share their\nknowledge about plant selection and care\, while folk and yard artisans will also be found\nthroughout the grounds with unique plant and garden-related arts and crafts. \nAs an educational institution dedicated to preserving and interpreting the heritage of mid-19 th\nCentury farm life in Northeast Tennessee\, Exchange Place will be offering glimpses of the\nantebellum years wherever one looks. Our resident sheep will be getting their annual haircuts\nas T.J. DeWitt will shear them\, on the “Roseland” side of Orebank Road\, at designated times\nthroughout the weekend. The Overmountain Weavers Guild then takes that wool and continue\ntheir long “Sheep to Shawl” tradition of carding (cleaning\, separating and straightening) the\nwool\, spinning it into yarn and weaving it into any number of beautiful and wearable items.\nAcross Orebank on the historic farm side of Exchange Place\, the Eden’s Ridge Hearth\nCookery Society will be churning butter on Saturday and making a pound cake with that fresh\nbutter on Sunday.  Forced (“Scotch”) eggs and skillet asparagus will round out Sunday&#39;s menu. \nIn the Cook’s Cabin\, our Junior Apprentices will be making hoecakes\, fried eggs and bacon\,\nJerusalem artichokes\, and jumble cookies.  You will also find them all about: in the blacksmith\nforge\, the woodshed\, the garden\, and the 1851 barn\, where our horses\, cow and donkey will be\nwaiting to meet you! In addition\, the JAs will be hosting their annual Tennessee Dancing Gourd\nspinoff just outside the Cook’s Cabin. \nWe are proudly hosting two heritage demonstrators. DESCRIPTION:The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is planning to “horse” around at Allandale Mansion this month by offering to the public its first-ever Hobby Horse Derby.\n\nHobby Horsing is a unique sport that involves participants riding stick horses for events like barrel racing and jumping courses. Kingsport’s hobby horse derby promises to be a fun-filled\, family-friendly event celebrating the art of hobby horsing.\n\nKingsport’s Hobby Horse Derby will take place at Allandale Mansion on April 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Food trucks will be on site for the duration of the event. DESCRIPTION:Kingsport Parks and Recreation is teaming up with 21:12 Skateboarding and Lincoln Elementary School to host a School’s (Almost) Out Skatepark Day this Saturday. We’re encouraging families to bring their wheels and visit the popular destination for an afternoon of skateboarding\, quad/inline skating\, scootering\, BMX’ing\, children’s activities\, and giveaways.\n\nThe free event will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on May 17 at the Scott Adams Memorial Skatepark (Brickyard Park Drive).
