DESCRIPTION:After a three-year hiatus competitors and fans from across the region will celebrate the return of the Mountain City Fiddlers’ Convention. Taking the mantle of this trademark event is Johnson County’s own\, The Kody Norris Show. This year’s event will be held on Saturday\, September 2\, 2023\, where it all began in 1925: at Heritage Hall Theatre in the heart of Mountain City\, Tennessee! \n“Growing up in Mountain City\, the fiddlers’ convention has always held a special place in my heart. Some of the greatest fiddlers in history got their start right here. Mary Rachel and I never dreamed we would be hosting this event but are super excited to breathe some new life into this Northeast Tennessee treasure\,” stated Norris. \nThis year\, there is over $12\,000 in cash and prizes including a handcrafted fiddle by renowned bluegrass fiddler\, Jason Barie for the top Fiddle Champion! The Mountain City Fiddlers’ Convention will feature many of the same competition categories as in years past with the addition of a few newLittle Roy and Lizzy Show ones too! \nThe Finale will feature a headlining band each year to close out the convention. This year’s featured act will be The Little Roy and Lizzy Show from Lincolnton\, Georgia. Many will remember Little Roy from the world-famous Lewis Family. DESCRIPTION:Firehouse\n\n\n\n\nWith music that has taken them all over the world and produced Gold\, Platinum and multi-Platinum records in the United States and countries abroad\, Firehouse is still rockin’! \nTheir self-titled first album in 1990 produced the single “Shake and Tumble” and had impressive radio success. The Top 10 hit “Don’t Treat Me Bad” was followed by “Love of a Lifetime\,” reaching the No. 3 spot on U.S. charts\, and vaulted the album to Double Platinum status. Hit after hit continued with “Hold Your Fire\,” “When I Look into Your Eyes\,” “Reach for the Sky\,” and “Sleeping with You.”  \nTours routed Firehouse to Southeast Asia and South America playing to sold-out crowds. Formally established in 1935\, the KSO is the oldest continually performing symphony orchestra in the Southeast. Dean Z – The Ultimate Elvis boasts a powerful 11-piece band\, horn section\, incredible background vocalists\, and immersive video content for a truly unforgettable concert experience! \nFor nearly two decades\, Dean Z has performed thousands of shows for millions of people around the globe\, being named by Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE) as the world’s greatest Elvis tribute artist in 2013. Dean was officially awarded EPE’s “Ultimate” title and starred in their international touring production Elvis Lives. Dean Z has thrilled Elvis fans across Europe and South America performing to sold-out audiences in some of the UK’s most historic venues including the London Apollo\, Manchester Arena and The Echo in Liverpool. With its riveting rhythms\, bold beats and ear grabbing energy\, DRUMLine Live is a high-octane musical roller coaster ride that is guaranteed to touch every emotion in your body. \nDRUMLine Live presents the sounds of the great brass past\, including Earth\, Wind and Fire and Tower of Power side-by-side with the hottest contemporary Hip-Hop and R&B. The DRUMLine Live cast\, assembled from Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the country\, is comprised of approximately 40 members who storm the stage for performances ranging from colorful\, choreographed routines to heavy doses of drum riffs and cadences. \n
