SUMMARY:Niswonger Performing Arts Center: Shenandoah
DESCRIPTION:Shenandoah\n\n\n\n\nWhen country music lovers talk about the greatest groups in the genre\, Shenandoah is always at the forefront of any discussion. Fueled by Marty Raybon’s distinctive vocals and the band’s skilled musicianship\, Shenandoah became well known for delivering such hits as “Two Dozen Roses\,” “Church on Cumberland Road” and “Next to You\, Next to Me” as well as such achingly beautiful classics as “I Want to be Loved Like That” and the GRAMMY® winning “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart” duet with Alison Krauss. \nShenandoah has recorded 10 studio albums (three certified Gold) and placed 26 singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The boys from Muscle Shoals have left a potent legacy at country radio with over a dozen No. 1 records and such enduring hits as “Ghost in This House\,” “Rock My Baby\,” “Janie Baker’s Love Slave\,” “If Bubba Can Dance (I Can Too)\,” written by Raybon and McGuire\, and “Her Leavin’s Been a Long Time Comin.”

SUMMARY:Niswonger Performing Arts Center: Brian Culbertson
DESCRIPTION:Brian Culbertson: The Trilogy Tour\n\n\n\n\nOver the course of crafting a 25-album catalog and architecting nearly 40 Billboard No. 1 singles as a multi-instrumentalist\, songwriter and producer\, Brian Culbertson has charted his own unique course in music. Culbertson burst onto the scene in 1994 with a chart-topping album that he recorded in his college apartment featuring keyboard-led contemporary jazz tracks. Long Night Out landed him a lengthy record deal and signaled that a star was born. \nFlash forward to present day\, Culbertson composed thirty songs that populate the three albums in The Trilogy that describes the three-part arc of a long-term relationship: the hot and steamy “falling in love” phase\, the rocky middle when perhaps they even break up for a bit\, and the couple reunites to live “happily ever after” phase.  The Trilogy Tour features a mix of songs from The Trilogy albums\, as well as the greatest hits from Brian Culbertson’s catalog.

SUMMARY:ZZ Top
DESCRIPTION:“That Little Ol’ Band From Texas” has been at it for well over a half century\, delivering rock\, blues and boogie on the road and in the studio to millions of devoted fans. With iconography as distinctive as their sound\, ZZ TOP is virtually synonymous with beards\, hotrod cars\, spinning guitars and that magic keychain\, all of which transcend geography and language. \nThe elements that keep ZZ TOP fresh\, enduring and above the transitory fray can be summed up in the three words of the band’s internal mantra: “Tone\, Taste and Tenacity.”. As genuine roots musicians\, they have few peers. Their influences are both the originators of the form – Muddy Waters\, B.B. King\, et al – as well as the British blues rockers and Jimi Hendrix who emerged the generation before ZZ’s ascendance. \nThey have sold hundreds of millions of records over the course of their career\, have been officially designated as Heroes of The State of Texas\, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (by Keith Richards\, no less) and have been referenced in countless cartoons and sitcoms. They are true rock icons and\, against all odds\, they’re really just doing what they’ve always done. ZZ TOP abides! \nDon’t miss out! Join us on April 1\, and experience ZZ TOP right here in Johnson City! \nTickets go on sale to the public this Friday\, January 12\, at 10 am.
