Still to come are comedian/actor Ron Funches on Feb. 10; rapper/actor Young M.A. on Feb. 17; comedian Melissa Villaseñor on Feb. 24; and country musicians Maddie & Tae on March 3. DESCRIPTION:TENNESSEE SONGWRITERS WEEK\nQUALIFIYING ROUND\nSaturday\, February 5\, 2022  |  1:00 PM\nBirthplace of Country Music Museum\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Birthplace of Country Music is excited to partner with the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development to be a venue for qualifying rounds leading up to the annual Tennessee Songwriters Week. \nThe Birthplace of Country Music Museum\, located in Historic Downtown Bristol\, Virginia-Tennesseee\, along with other venues across the state of Tennessee\, will sign up local talent to compete. Top songwriters from the official qualifying rounds will perform during one of the six Tennessee Songwriters Week showcases. Finalists from the showcases get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share their original songs on the historic stage at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFREE REGISTRATION FOR SONGWRITERS\nNOW OPEN\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIf you wish to enter the Qualifying Round at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum on February 5\, 2022\, read the official rules to make sure you qualify. Entrants are not allowed to enter more than one qualifying round. Deadline for entry is January 11\, 2022.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRead Official Rules\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nUp to 20 singer-songwriters may register for the February 5th competition at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum\, taken in the order they are received. \nEach artist will perform one original song for up to 5 minutes.\nThe artist must own the rights to the song.\nTo enter\, artist must provide full contact information\, upload lyrics and provide a YouTube link to a video of the artist performing the song before the January 11\, 2022 deadline.\n\nIf more than 20 artists apply\, they will be placed on a waiting list. \nWinners of qualifying rounds will advance to the showcase events in Memphis\, Franklin\, Knoxville\, Chattanooga\, Gatlinburg\, and Johnson City\nFebruary 20-26\, 2022.\nShowcase winners will get their chance to take the stage at The Bluebird Cafe on March 20\, 2022. \nTickets to be part of the audience for the competition will go on sale soon! \n**COVID-19 POLICY**\nIn order to ensure your safety\, audience members\, staff\, artists\, and judges will be required to show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result taken within 72 hours for entry. \nVisit the Events page at BirthplaceOfCountryMusic.org for more information. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick Here to Register
