DESCRIPTION:Jonesborough’s popular Yoga in the Park series returns this summer. Classes take place every Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. in Jimmy Neil Smith Park\, located behind the International Storytelling Center in downtown Jonesborough.\n\nThese community yoga classes are free to attend and open to all experience levels\, from beginners to advanced. Sessions are led by certified instructors from across the region and offer an hour of movement\, mindfulness\, and connection in a scenic\, relaxed outdoor setting. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat\, towel\, or blanket. Held at the International Storytelling Center (or occasionally nearby local venues like the  McKinney Center)\, the evening feels like sitting in a very large\, very talented living room. \nWhat to Expect\n\n\nDiverse Tellers: You’ll hear from seasoned professionals who have graced national stages\, alongside guild members honing new material. \n\n\nThe “More” in the Name: While the focus is on spoken-word stories\, you’ll often find the night peppered with poetry\, acoustic music\, or personal tall tales. \n\n\nA Living Art: Unlike a recorded podcast\, these stories change based on the energy of the room.
