DESCRIPTION:King University Theatre brings the cast of the world premiere of “Good King Wenceslas” to Elizabethton\, TN. Come enjoy watching live readings of selected scenes\, enter to win free tickets\, and meet the cast. \nAugust Muse will host King University Theatre Cast Saturday\, October 29\, 5-7 pm downtown Elizabethton. Cast members will read selected scenes from the new play\, “Good King Wenceslas” by Katherine Paterson and Stephanie Tolan. Enter to win free tickets to the staged performance December 1-3 at the Paramount Center for the Arts in Bristol. Meet the cast and the director. \nThis new Comic Miracle Play is the perfect Christmas entertainment event for the entire family. Katherine Paterson\, an award winning author and known for “Bridge to Terabithia”\, and is an alumna of King University. Stephanie Tolan is known for her award winning book “Surviving the Applewhites”. Together they have created a new comedy with family traditions\, conflict\, and a miracle. Alaska Vance\, director\, and cast are excited to share this new work with East Tennessee. \nThis ‘Arts in Action’ event is hosted by August Muse a central hub and supporter for all the Arts in Elizabethton. The retail store offers resources and items to inspire the dancer\, musician\, artist\, and more.
