SUMMARY:Vincent Neil Emerson Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Jackson Theatre will welcome Vincent Neil Emerson to the stage on Saturday\, May 3 at 8:00 p.m. for an evening of music rooted in folk\, country\, and rock and roll tradition.\nVincent Neil Emerson has become a staple among folk and country music fans nationwide\, celebrated for his honest tales of life on the road\, heartbreak\, and struggles of all sorts. His first LP\, Fried Chicken & Evil Women (2019)\, established him as a refreshing voice in the modern country music landscape. His follow-up self-titled album explored deeper themes of loss and identity\, including his Native American heritage\, family history\, and the experience of growing up in East Texas.\n\nHis newest release\, The Golden Crystal Kingdom\, produced by Shooter Jennings\, finds Emerson expanding his scope into rock and roll territory\, tapping into the storied sounds of folk music gone electric\, and following in the footsteps of artists like Bob Dylan and Neil Young. On the album\, Emerson retains his diamond sharp storytelling while imbuing the work with a freewheeling rock and roll aesthetic\, creating an album as fun as his live shows and as cathartic as his previous work.\n\nLeon Majcen will open the show. He grew up on the Gulf Coast of Florida and was drawn from a young age to the power of storytelling through music\, particularly the work of artists like Townes Van Zandt\, John Prine\, Bob Dylan\, and Guy Clark. His sound blends Americana\, folk\, and country influences\, shaped by years of writing and performing across the country. Tickets are available now at www.thejacksontheatre.com or at the box office. For more information\, visit www.thejacksontheatre.com or follow @thejacksontheatre on social media.\n\n#####\nAbout The Jackson Theatre: The Jackson Theatre is a fully restored theatre in the heart of historic downtown Jonesborough. Serving as a vibrant hub for the arts\, it now operates as a music venue\, theater\, and film house\, bringing entertainment and culture to the community again.
