Singer-songwriter\, guitarist\, harmonica player\, and instrument tech\, Byrd’s passion and musical savvy make him hard to miss in the Tri-Cities. While his solo work tends more to soul-driven folk and Americana\, his band Daniel Byrd’s Boogie Machine is a heavier-hitting\, funkier creation altogether. Formerly “Boogie Collective\,” his Boogie Machine\, featuring Jacob Tipton (Loose Leaves) on bass\, and Kip Borodzik (ADC\, Flame Azalea) on drums\, is aptly billed as Groovy Blues and Electric Soul for the People. Daniel Byrd’s Boogie Machine can be found playing local venues\, such as Johnson City’s Capone’s and The Hideaway\, Kingsport’s Gypsy Circus Cider Company and Model City Tap House. The band is currently working on new and inspired creative collaborations\, as well as recording their first full-length album. \n  \nMatt Byrd Band \nMBB was formed in late 2021 by founders Matt Byrd (Frontman/Songwriter) and Wayne Stambaugh (Lead Guitar) after having worked together for several years in theatre. Members Rodney Tomlinson (Bass) and Ryan Miller (Kit) joined the band in early 2022; having known Matt and Wayne for years\, their talents and personalities got this group on its legs\, and Matt Byrd Band was well on its way. \nToday\, Matt Byrd Band has released their first album\, played notable events and venues such as Morristown’s Jeep Invasion 2023\, Greeneville’s Historic Capitol Theatre two years in a row\, and Grainger County’s Annual Tomato Festival three years in a row\, and even made it to country radio where MBB’s single “Saturday Night” landed on 39 stations being spun an average of 380 times a week.   \nThe band strives to breathe new life into the country music scene and win over non-country listeners. \n  \nRyder Casey Band \nThe Ryder Casey band is an American band rooted in the heart of East Tennessee. With Ryder Casey as the lead singer the band delivers a compelling mix of country\, bluegrass\, and folk music. Influenced by icons like The Allman Brothers and Tyler Childers\, their sound is a blend of traditional and contemporary styles\, creating a unique and captivating musical experience. They have performed across the Tri-Cities\, Virginia\, South Carolina and North Carolina\, earning a reputation for their energetic and heartfelt live shows. Whether playing in intimate venues or on larger stages\, Ryder Casey and The Mountain Ramblers continue to charm audiences with their authentic sound and engaging performances.  \n\nDonnie and the Dry Heavers \nThis 4-piece from Northeast TN brings driving rhythms\, expressive solos\, groovy riffs\, and dynamic songwriting to the culmination of a rousing original sound. With tasteful jam breaks\, witty transitions\, and pocket-driven flow\, this crew aims to provide you with a memorable musical journey! Coming to fruition in 2018\, the band includes members Chancellor Lawson (guitar/vocals)\, Cameron Hite (drums/vocals)\, Andrew Kramer (guitar/vocals)\, and Magus Vaughn (bass/vocals). Through all of their struggles\, hopes\, and accomplishments\, one question rings loud in many minds: Where is Donnie? \n\nEYECANDY \nFormed in the heart of Johnson City\, Tennessee\, this female front alternative punk rock band has been making waves in the local scene since their single released in 2023. Composed of four talented musicians\, this band has quickly become a fan favorite.  The band consists of lead singer\, Laken Honeycutt; guitarist\, vocals\, Paul Harris; rhythm guitarist\, vocals\, Jakob Jovet; bass\, Nicholas Christian; and drummer\, Keenan White. \n\nTheir music is a fusion of alternative rock\, indie\, and punk\, with influences ranging from Paramore\, Nirvana and Flyleaf to Metric\, No Doubt\, Evanescence\, and The Pretty Reckless.  Their lyrics are introspective and thought-provoking\, with themes of love\, loss\, and self-discovery.  Despite their local success\, the band has their sights set on bigger things. They are currently working on more songs and lining up upcoming shows\, which they hope will take them to the next level and help them gain national recognition. This alternative rock band from Johnson City\, Tennessee\, is a force to be reckoned with. With their raw talent and undeniable passion for music\, they are sure to make waves in the music industry for years to come. Keep an eye out for their electrifying upcoming. \n\nJoin in the fun and purchase your tickets today. See you in the audience on March 8th.  The show starts at 7:00pm.

SUMMARY:Greeneville: Groundhog Day
DESCRIPTION:The Capitol Theatre presents the Classic Groundhog Day on Groundhog day in 2019. \nThe Doors will open at 6:00 PM\, with the movie starting promptly at 7:00 PM. \nBill Murray\, Andie McDowell\, and Chris Elliott star in Harold Ramis’s 1993 comedy Groundhog Day. Murray plays Phil Conners\, a self-centered weatherman who goes on assignment to cover the Groundhog Day celebration in Punxsutawney\, Pennsylvania. Conners finds himself trapped in reliving the day over and over and over\, with no apparent way out. A hit upon its release in 1993\, Groundhog Day has gone on to become recognized as one of the best American comedies ever made. We promise we’ll only be showing the film once on Groundhog Day
