Kingsport Aquatic Center: Monster Mash
Kingsport Aquatic Center hosting “Monster Mash” Halloween event
It’s not the Transylvania Twist or the Graveyard Smash, but hopefully this spooky event will catch on in a flash.
To celebrate the Halloween season, the Kingsport Aquatic Center will be hosting a Monster Mash event on Saturday, October 21 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon of Halloween-themed games, a showing of the Monsters University movie (Party Room A), monster crafts (Party Room B) and of course, plenty of indoor swimming.
The pre-registration cost is $8 per person or $10 per person at the door the day of the event. Kingsport Aquatic Center members will receive a $3 per person discount.
Special Discount Option – If you attend the Fall Festival event at the Kingsport Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on October 21, you can pick up a $3 off coupon for the Monster Mash.
“We’re excited to host another Halloween-themed event here at Kingsport Aquatic Center,” said Aquatics Program Coordinator Madison Gump. “This is a great family-friendly event for all ages, so be sure to gather all your little ghosts and goblins and come on down to haunt our pools.”

About the City of Kingsport
Founded in 1917, the City of Kingsport (pop. 55,400) is located on the Tennessee-Virginia border at the crossroads of I-81 and I-26 near the geographic center of the eastern U.S. The city is widely known as a planned community, designed by renowned city planner John Nolen and wrapping around the foot of Bays Mountain – a 3,750-acre park, nature preserve, planetarium and observatory. Kingsport is recognized as an International Safe Community by the National Safety Council, a Healthier Tennessee community, and won the 2009 Harvard Innovations in American Government Award for its higher education initiatives. While many city names are duplicated throughout the U.S., there’s only one Kingsport – a fact that invokes community pride, known locally as the “Kingsport Spirit.”
