Jonesborough: St. Paddy’s Parade
The Town of Jonesborough will host their inaugural St. Paddy’s Parade on Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m.
Jonesborough began celebrating the St. Paddy’s holiday eight years ago with live music and a scavenger hunt as the main attractions. The event has grown to add in the Highland Games, Highland Cows and now a parade.
The parade will begin on the corner of Boone Street and Sabin Drive and continue down Main Street in downtown Jonesborough. The St. Paddy’s Festival Committee will seek floats and entries decked out in green or with a Celtic theme.
The cost for registration is $25 for regular entries and $50 for political and commercial entries. Interested parties can apply online at www.Jonesborough.com/stpaddys. There are a limited number of spots available.
The 2024 St. Paddy’s Festival takes place Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors will have a chance to meet Highland Cows, demo Highland Games, visit local crafters, take part in a fun run, enjoy live Irish music, food and drinks. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.
