Kingsport: Easter Eggstravaganza

March 30, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Easter Eggstravaganza returns to Kingsport Aquatic Center

The Kingsport Aquatic Center is hosting its second annual Easter Eggstravaganza later this month and it promises to be an even bigger and better event than last year.

Easter Eggstravaganza will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on March 30. To celebrate the holiday, more than 1,000 Easter eggs will be spread around the warm water pool, play pool and splash pad for children to retrieve. In addition, all participants will receive goody bags the day of the event.

“Everyone had such a great time at last year’s event, we thought we’d bring it back this year,” said Aquatics Program Coordinator Madison Gump. “We can’t wait to see children’s faces when they walk into the aquatic center and see hundreds of colorful eggs all around.”

Easter Eggstravaganza will also feature a Golden Egg Hunt where children will search for the one golden egg hidden somewhere in the facility. The one who finds the golden egg will receive two free admission tickets for the summer season, a T-shirt and a candy bag – a prize package worth up to $50.

Admission is $10 per person prior to the event and $12 per person at the door. All children ages 12 and under must have an adult signed up with them. Event participants will have access to the Kingsport Aquatic Center all day on March 30.

About the City of Kingsport

Founded in 1917, the City of Kingsport (pop. 55,400) is located on the Tennessee-Virginia border at the crossroads of I-81 and I-26 near the geographic center of the eastern United States. The city is widely known as a planned community, designed by renowned city planner John Nolen and wrapping around the foot of Bays Mountain – a 3,750-acre park, nature preserve, planetarium and observatory. Kingsport is recognized as an International Safe Community by the National Safety Council, a Healthier Tennessee community, and won the 2009 Harvard Innovations in American Government Award for its higher education initiatives. While many city names are duplicated throughout the U.S., there’s only one Kingsport – a fact that invokes community pride, known locally as the “Kingsport Spirit.” For more information, please visitwww.kingsporttn.gov.
