After five decades, 38 SPECIAL continues to bring their signature blast of Southern rock to over 100 cities a year, thrilling thousands of fans with the explosive power of their live shows. Their Gold and Platinum album awards stand as a testament to the endurance of this legendary powerhouse.
With sales exceeding 20 million, the band is best known for arena-rock radio staples like “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “Chain Lightnin’,” and “Second Chance”—timeless hits immediately recognizable from their opening chords and still going strong on airwaves today. Guitarist/vocalist and founding member Don Barnes says it’s all about maintaining that live intensity: “We never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft or complacent over the years. We’re a team, and it’s always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.”
