We are excited to welcome them back to The Jackson Theatre one year later, after they helped kick off our grand opening with an incredible performance.

2025 marks the 79th Anniversary of The Clinch Mountain Boys. We are pleased to carry on the Clinch Mountain style of music. Ralph II began working professionally for his father in 1995 and has carried The Clinch Mountain Boys on since, fronting the first group after the passing of his father, Ralph Edmond Stanley.

Grammy Award-winning artist Ralph Stanley II & The Clinch Mountain Boys are currently touring across the country and internationally. They’ve also been hard at work in the studio, releasing a #1 hit, “Back to Virginia.” With eleven #1 singles in his career, R2 is in heavy radio rotation nationwide and on Bluegrass Junction, World wide Bluegrass, iHeart Radio, and Sirius XM.

Ralph II has earned two Grammy nominations on previous albums recorded with Rebel Records and received his first Grammy in 2002 alongside his father, Dr. Ralph Stanley, for their collaboration with Jim Lauderdale on “Lost in the Lonesome Pines.” An accomplished songwriter, Ralph II has released six solo albums along with the acclaimed duet album with his father, “Side by Side.”

Playing more than 100 shows a year, Ralph Stanley II & The Clinch Mountain Boys remain an audience favorite at festivals, clubs, amphitheaters, and country fairs, wherever the blue bus might take ’em!
