Jonesborough, TN — The Jackson Theatre welcomes acclaimed singer-songwriters Kelsey Waldon and Gabe Lee on Saturday, February 21 at 7pm for an intimate evening of Americana, country, and storytelling.

Kelsey Waldon has earned wide praise for her “self-penned compositions [with] the patina of authenticity” (Rolling Stone). Signed to John Prine’s Oh Boy Records in 2019, she was the label’s first new artist in 15 years. Her latest album, Every Ghost, confronts addiction, grief, and personal growth, showcasing Waldon’s fearless songwriting and emotional honesty. She has toured with artists including Tyler Childers, Margo Price, and Lucinda Williams, earned the title of Kentucky Colonel, and was featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame’s American Currents exhibit in 2024.

Gabe Lee launched his career after returning to Tennessee, quickly moving from dive bar gigs to high-profile opening slots with artists like Jason Isbell and Los Lobos. A natural storyteller, Lee blends roots-rock, country, and folk influences. His album Drink the River expands his songwriting beyond personal stories to reflect shared human experiences, aiming to bring listeners a little closer together.
