Main Street Halloween Haunts & Happenings returns to Downtown Jonesborough on Friday, October 30, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The evening will feature trick-or-treating at various stops throughout downtown, highlighting local businesses in Jonesborough.
Activities and games will also be available throughout the evening. The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus will make a special appearance at the Christopher Taylor Cabin, presented by Enchanted Experiences from JRT. DJ Love will be mixing spooky tunes throughout the evening in front of the Washington County Courthouse.
New this year, attendees will have the opportunity to meet a larger-than-life celebrity, think Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade large, located beside Jackson’s Prime at 111 West Main Street. This special guest is sure to cause a scene while soaring over the buildings along Main Street.
The Food City of Jonesborough Costume Contest will begin at 7 p.m. and features numerous age categories, including a group category. First and second-place winners in each category will receive prizes.
The International Storytelling Center Plaza will feature free face painting and a free Halloween craft provided by the McKinney Center.
Carved pumpkins from The Great Jonesborough Pumpkin Party will line Main Street and remain on display from October 28 through Saturday, October 31.
