Al Mills and Nnamdi Chukwuocha learned about the power of words when they were just six years old.
Like a lot of kids, the twin brothers constantly bickered. When their mother handed them a pen and paper so they could write about their feelings instead of shouting at each other, something clicked.
Now known professionally as the Twin Poets, the brothers, who are also social workers and activists, are the Poet Laureates of the State of Delaware, using the spoken word to help communities deal with ingrained problems like poverty and gun violence.
Their performances have been featured on HBO, BET, and NPR—and we’re thrilled that the Twin Poets are joining us for Storytelling Online this Thursday, February 24.
