1st Annual GO.ALL.OUT. Pickleball Championships

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.  – Visit Johnson City is thrilled to partner with the Southern Pickleball Association to host the first annual GO.ALL.OUT. Pickleball Championships. This tournament will take place at the Memorial Park Community Center (MPCC) April 21st-23rd and is open to players of all ages and skill levels.

Gameplay on Friday, April 21st will consist of Senior Men’s & Women’s Doubles, with 60+ and 70+ age brackets. Saturday, April 22nd will include Mixed Doubles, allowing pickleball players of all ages and skill levels to compete against one another. The final day of competition will consist of Men’s and Women’s Doubles, with 15+, 35+ and 50+ age brackets. Registration cost for one day of tournament play is $55.00 and includes a free t-shirt. Additional days of tournament play are $15.00 each.

Pickleball Championships is one of a kind in our region by offering competitive pickleball play to a wide variety of skill levels and ages over the three days. The outdoor courts at the Memorial Park Community Center are new, beautiful, first-class, and everybody loves to play there. It is the perfect site. These sponsors and hosts from a broader area are attracting entries and working together to make this bigger and better for the fastest growing sport.”

According to the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) 2023 Participation Report, pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States. This same report shows that 14% of adult Americans played pickleball at least once between August of 2021 and August of 2022.

Pickleball Championships presents an opportunity for local and regional participation, further cementing the city’s investment in the newly-renovated pickleball courts at Memorial Park Community Center,” said James Mauney, Sports Sales Manager at Visit Johnson City.

The twelve state-of-the-art pickleball courts at MPCC were renovated in 2022 and attract hundreds of players each week.
