21st Reunion of Nubian Kruzers United MC

July 13 - July 15

JOHNSON CITY, TN – Summertime, mountains, and motorcycles. A unique combination found here in Johnson City and Northeast Tennessee. Be on the lookout for 200 motorcyclists from across the North and South this weekend in anticipation of the 21st Reunion of Nubian Kruzers United MC being hosted by Johnson City’s own local chapter. The reunion will be held July 13-15 at DoubleTree by Hilton in Johnson City.

“We started the Johnson City chapter 4 years ago, and we are the 13th chapter to join. We place value on God, family, and then the motorcycle club. These values were instilled by our founder, Chaz Crenshaw, in 2001, and it has been a great honor to keep them intact. All our chapters are greatly involved with the community, and we appreciate the support from everyone,” said Donny “DOC” Evans, Sergeant at Arms and Treasurer for the Nubian Kruzers United MC of the Johnson City Chapter.

Organizers are expecting a large number of participants, many of them attracted to the area due to the South’s greatest motorcycle rides, The Southern Dozen. In addition to riding, these enthusiasts will explore Northeast Tennessee’s vast array of restaurants, retailers, and attractions.

The Southern Dozen is a series of rides that begin in Johnson City and go out into Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina. These thirteen rides are represented through easy-to-use itineraries, along more than 1,100 miles of scenic roadways. Lodging, shopping, cultural attractions, dining, outdoor activities, and historical sites are highlighted along each ride, with the beauty of the region being the connective theme throughout them all.

“Hosting motorcycle clubs, such as Nubian Kruzers United MC, brings an influx of visitor spending to our community. It is conservatively estimated this event will bring a total economic impact of $79,200, including $3,500 in local sales and lodging tax collection. Visit Johnson City is proud to support Nubian Kruzers United MC and promote Johnson City as a motorcycle-friendly destination,” said Alec Castro, Director of Sales & Public Relations at Visit Johnson City.

The public is invited to a Meet & Greet Thursday, July 13 at 7 p.m. at Wild Wing Cafe in Downtown Johnson City. The club will also be having a group ride from DoubleTree by Hilton to VFW Post 2108 Friday, July 14 starting at 7:30 p.m. Doors open to the public at 9 p.m. that same evening for a party at VFW. All are welcome to attend either gathering.
