Greeneville: 49th Annual Holiday Bazaar & Expo
November 2, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
GREENEVILLE, TN: Members of the GFWC of Tennessee Greeneville Woman’s Club are finalizing plans for their 49th Annual Holiday Bazaar & Expo, set for Saturday, Nov. 2, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 3, noon until 5:00 p.m. The two-day event will take place at Hal Henard Elementary School at 425 E. Vann Road. Vivian Gibbons is this year’s Holiday Bazaar chairman and has announced that the theme is “Let It Snow.” Gibbons explained, “There are several new vendors and booths at this year’s event, and people will be very pleased by the variety of merchandise from the 125 vendors. She said there was everything from handmade crafts and facepainting to antiques, art and crochet; from candles and doll clothes to primitive crafts and custom jewelry; from Christmas ornaments to decorations for several holidays. Also this year our admission is $5.00 but includes both days. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.” She also announced that this year’s ornament is a snowman that can be personalized and will sell for only $5.00. For shoppers’ convenience the club will have shopping bags for sale for $2.00. Some of the bags will feature discounts from bazaar vendors. Food is always popular at the Holiday Bazaar, and this year SnoBiz will once again offer their chicken ‘n dumplings, taco soup, hamburgers, hot fudge cake and more in the concession area, while Creamy Cup will offer a variety of coffees and Grann’s Gourmet Apples will offer apples and strawberries. Outside there will be some food trucks, one of which will be the popular Auntie Ruth’s with her doughnuts and pretzels and the all-new Lola’s Sweet Treats. All monies realized from the event will go back into the community in the club’s areas of work: Conservation, Education, Home Life, International Affairs, Public Issues and the Arts.
