Abingdon: Harvest Fest

Bring your whole family to enjoy our annual Harvest Festival, featuring apple butter stirring and apple cider pressing, and take home some goodies! Artisans will be demonstrating their crafts as well.

Members will stir off delicious apple butter the traditional way in a copper kettle over a wood fire while sweet and tangy apple cider pours out of the apple press. Bring your own apples and our volunteers will press them for homemade apple cider that you can take home and enjoy.

Established in 1971, Holston Mountain Artisans preserves and promotes the finest traditional and contemporary arts and crafts of our Appalachian region. Our non-profit cooperative represents talented artisans in Southwest Virginia and upper East Tennessee from all walks of life, with an emphasis on helping disadvantaged individuals who need a sales outlet for their crafts, and providing educational opportunities that will forever preserve our creative heritage.
