Actor’s Reading of Steel Magnolias
August 11, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
One event on August 12, 2018 at 7:00 pm
Rogersville Arts Council presents Robert Harling’s powerful play Steel Magnolias. It is a story of six women whose friendships prove that women can be as delicate as a magnolia flower yet be as tough as steel through life’s journeys. Come experience laughter through tears and hear Truvy, Annelle, Clairee, Ouiser, M’Lynn, and Shelby tell their story of strong southern women.
The actors include Tammy Baird as Truvy, Anna Campbell as Annelle, Jacki Ewing as Clairee, Amanda Campbell as Ouiser, Winnie Seals as M’Lynn, and April Albright as Shelby. It is delightful watching these ladies, most of whom you know from the community, lend their style of humor and drama to this popular play.
This unique Reading of Steel Magnolias will be held at 118 South Church Street (former Carter K building) on Saturday, August 11, at 7 PM, and Sunday, August 12, at 3 PM. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to show time. There is plenty of parking nearby in a well lit area.
The ticket cost is $10 for advance sales and $12 at the door before performances. All proceeds support the arts programming and education the Rogersville Arts Council brings to Hawkins County.
Tickets are available online at www.rogartscouncil.org or may be reserved by calling (423) 293-0882 and leaving a message. Someone will call to arrange the prepayment.
