Anne Wilson, visual artist

In a diverse practice that includes sculpture, drawing, photography, performance, stop-motion animations and digital projects, Anne Wilson explores personal and public ritual, social systems, and issues of gender and labor. She is best known for her work with fiber art, employing table linens, bed sheets, lace, wire, glass and human hair used as thread. The professor of art in the Department of Fiber and Material Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Wilson will give an artist talk on Thursday, April 2, as well as work with ETSU students while on campus. This event is FREE and open to the public.
