Appalachian Trail Bluegrass Band Brings Four Decades of Music to The Jackson Theatre November 20
Northeast Tennessee’s own Appalachian Trail Bluegrass Band will perform at The Jackson Theatre on Friday, November 20, at 7pm, bringing more than four decades of bluegrass music to historic downtown Jonesborough.
Formed in 1984, Appalachian Trail Band is known for its smooth, polished harmonies, original songwriting, and a sound rooted in traditional bluegrass. Throughout its history, the band has helped launch the careers of notable musicians including Adam Steffey, John Bowman, and Becky Buller.
Taking its name from the famous Appalachian hiking trail, the group has performed across the United States and internationally, including tours in Ireland, Scotland, and England. While its lineup has evolved over the years, Appalachian Trail Band continues to carry its bluegrass tradition forward.
The current lineup features Vickie Austin on vocals and bass, Tommy Austin on vocals and mandolin, Shane Austin on vocals and guitar, and Ashley Davis-White on vocals and fiddle.
The performance begins at 7pm at The Jackson Theatre, located at 121 W. Main Street in Jonesborough. Tickets and additional information are available at thejacksontheatre.com.
