Art Opening Sharon Curits
Come in store to August Muse and help us welcome a new artist, Sharon Curtis, and view her collage art works. Curtis has spent the last 5 years honing her skills as a collage artist. Curtis claims no formal training in the arts. Curits was inspired by the work of an artist friend inspired her to believe that we all have art in us. “I saw her take old maps, photographs, and magazine cuttings and turn them into beautiful works of art without ever picking up a paintbrush. I thought, ‘I can do this!’” She creates useable art with her collages on old cigar boxes to create a beautiful place to hold keepsakes.
Opening will run February 18, 3-5pm
The show will run through March 17 2023
