Evening Poetry Reading with Joy Harjo

Part of the Creative Writing Festival. A member of the Mvskoke/Creek Nation, Harjo’s work reflects her engagement with heritage, feminist issues, justice, and creativity, drawing from old myths and new adventures. A poet, a lecturer, a musician, and an activist, she now holds the Chair of Excellence in Creative Writing at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
