History Happy Hour

Who was Francis Asbury? Why did he succeed where John Wesley failed? What’s the relevance of any of this to us in East Tennessee? Find out at the next History Happy Hour!
Join author and historian Timothy D. Holder as he discusses the life of Francis Asbury, a Methodist circuit rider and preacher active in the late 18th century. Dr. Holder is a history professor at Walters State Community College in Morristown, TN. The program will be held at the International Storytelling Center located next door to the Chester Inn State Historic Site and Museum. The program starts at 6:30 pm and is free and open to the public!
