History Happy Hour

Chester Inn Museum hosts this month’s History Happy Hour
Join speaker Dr. Rene Rodgers for her presentation, “Not Their First Rodeo: An Exploration of Black Country Music” at the Chester Inn Museum’s History Happy Hourย on Thursday,ย July 18ย at6:30 p.m.ย This program takes place in the Chester Inn Museum’s board room. A live stream will also be available on the Chester Inn Museumโ€™s Facebook page.
There is a long tradition of Black country music, and this talk will explore some of those stories, highlighting the more nuanced history of this American genre. Dr. Rodgers is the Head Curator at the Birthplace of Country Music Museum in Bristol.
The program is free and open to the public.
History Happy Hour is a monthly speaker series that usually runs on the third Thursday each month from April through October. Be sure to follow the Chester Inn on Facebook for updates on programs, exhibits and events including this yearโ€™s History Happy Hour schedule.
