Independent South Swimming Championships

Visit Kingsport is thrilled to welcome The 2025 Independent South Swimming Championships to the Kingsport Aquatic Center. The three-day event takes place from Thursday, February 13 through Saturday, February 15. Schedule as follows:

Thursday, February 13 –

Preliminaries: 10:00 AM

Finals: 6 PM

Friday, February 14 –

Preliminaries: 10 AM

Finals: 6 PM

Saturday, February 15 –

Preliminaries: 10 AM

Finals: 5 PM

Races for men and women include the 500 Freestyle, 200 Medley Relay and 100 Butterfly, among others.

Swimmers from Piedmont University (GA), William Peace University (NC), Southern Virginia University, Warren Wilson College (NC) and Salem College (NC) will be competing throughout the weekend.

“As Visit Kingsport and the Kingsport Aquatic Center continue their partnership in hosting college swim meets, it brings both of us joy to not only welcome the Independent South Swimming Championships back to the fastest pool in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia but also to our great city of Kingsport, Tennessee,” said Bradley Hoover, Director of Sports at Visit Kingsport. “We hope that the swimmers enjoy both the competition and their stay here in the Model City.”

Spectators are welcome to attend. Tickets are $5 per session or $25 for the entire event.
